'Camp Oven Cook Off' at Pine Plains Lodge.

Do you have the cooking skills to win the ‘Camp Oven Cook Off’?

Register and find out if you can beat our local Mallee teams and past winners.

Judging criteria:
• Taste/flavour
• Originality
• Technique in preparation
• Timing (to present your dish at an allotted time slot), and
• Presentation.

There are four major awards:

  1. Camp Oven Champion
  2. Children's Camp Oven Champion
  3. The Brian O’Sullivan Memorial Award
  4. The Popular Vote.

Cooks take note, briefing and slection of serving time will begin at 9:30am. It's best if you pre-register your intention to cook. 

If you’re not cooking come along for the day or for the weekend and enjoy the excitement. You can sample the delicacies prepared by the challengers (gold coin donation). Lunch and drinks are also available for purchase, prepared by local community groups/projects.

The travelling public and families may book accommodation at the Pine Plains Lodge, the Patchewollock Hotel, or camp sites are also available at Pine Plains with use of the Lodge facilities.

Get ready for a delightful weekend of food, fun and frivolity. Remember to rug up, and be ready to enjoy the beauty of the Wyperfeld National Park, the comforts of the Lodge and the outdoor fires whilst raising funds for community projects.

Our Location

Wyperfeld National Park is located 450 km north-west of Melbourne. To Pine Plains Lodge from Melbourne, take the Western Highway A8 to Ballarat, then take the Sunraysia Highway B220 to Speed and then Patchewollock.
